What is amaranth anyway ? — new on our home page
Now the weather is cooling off. We are able to restart our vegetable garden. Amaranth (Chinese name: XianCai) is apparently on my list since Jerry and I both like it as much as we like sweet potato leaves. So, here is the information on growing amaranth:

As we know, our dearest Uncle passed away one year ago, Oct.
2, 2011. Jerry and I were talking about a Family web page where we could
remember those close to us all. That way we can always see family
photos, stories, what our ancestors taught us, their legacys, and how
they would want to see us carry on. So far, I only have a few
photos, but kindly know that this is work in progress as we all are.
You all are invited to our family page at http://www.jnlyman.com/blog/ChanLin.htm
and blog at http://www.jnlyman.com/blog/
Thanks to all for the photos and suggestions. Please
feel free to write any comments and topics w/ blog. Also, you can always
email me photos and notes. At this point, the web page is very
simple html. We will add flash, mp3 and other advancements later. Hope to
hear from you soon.

Remembering uncle
October 2nd is the anniversay of uncle’s passing. Many of us are remembering uncle in our own way. I am thinking maybe we can get together sometimes to reminisce and share stories we each have about how uncle has touched our lives in someway, and give the younger generation a chance to know one another better.
