Panama Canal - One of the Greatest Engineering Feats of the 20th Centry
	A must-see destination - Panama Canal. Island Princess being guided by locomotives (right side of the photo) through Gatun Lock, the first set of locks on Atlantic side,toward Gatun Lake side. There is a three step process that lifts the ship 85’ above sea lever to the level of Gatun Lake. Gat;un Lake is maintained at 85’ above sea level by design of the dam and weather conditions.
	Island Princes is finally through the Gatun Lock. Obviously this photo was taken from Gatun Lake side.
	Island Princess is making its way back through the Lock to the Atlantic side. Note, gates open and close for water level equalization needed to lower the ship as it goes from the Gatun Lake side to the Atlantic side. A cargo ship on left being guided by locomotives through Gatun Lock.
