"Clown anemone fish are impish, little orange fish which have evoved a clear survival technique. They live right in amoong stinging tentacles of sea anemones.

Clown fish apparently makes itself immune through covering itself gradually with anemone mucus. Then it set up house in the tentacles knowing it is safe from outside predators. Clown fish usually live in pair with the larger of the two being the female. She continually makes demands on her male mate which stops him from growing. The short growing cycle is most likely cause by stress, however when the female is eaten or dies, the male starts growing again and then, turns into a female."
